Veterinary services in Johnson City- delivered with courtesy, respect and genuine caring!
As a new client of Robinson Animal Hospital in Johnson City, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs, as well as your own.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly by our caring staff at the reception desk. To make things as easy as possible for you, we recommend that you complete our “New Client Information” form prior to your appointment. This is available in both an online version that you may submit or a pritable version that you may bring with you. There is information that we need from you and it will be so much easier for you to just provide the form and then relax in our reception area with your pet. Pets are almost always stressed when visiting the veterinarian and this will allow you time to provide some comfort and reassurance.
One of our receptionists will meet you and your pet, and guide you to the dreaded scales to get an accurate weight of your pet and escort you into one of examination rooms. Your veterinary assistant will be your first contact and will gather informtion regarding the reason for your visit and take the temperature of your pet. A medical history of you pet is always helpful, but in so many circumstances, it is just not known. Many pets are adopted and there is no medical history available! And as strong supporters of adoption, we understand this and will work together to just learn what we can as we go along!
Then one of our veterinarians will examine your pet thoroughly and ask you further questions. If diagnostic tests are needed for a complete and accurate diagnosis, your veterinarian will recommend these and explain them thoroughly to you. Most of these can be done on our premises and take just a few moments. Your doctor will then discuss your pet’s health with you, and recommend any treatment that is warranted. If this is a wellness visit, your doctor will discuss routine health care at this time.
This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.
Your veterinary assistant will come back to wrap things up with you. He or she will explain any prescribed medications and their dosage and make certain that you are comfortable with these and answer any additional questions that you might have. If prescription foods are necessary, they will be prescribed at this time. Our front desk staff will process your payment, answer any additional questions, and schedule any needed follow up. They will also introduce you to our client/pet portal which is an enormous convenience to you. You will have access to all of your pets medical records and introduce you to to the features of out website, such as sheduling appointments and refilling prescriptions.
Please note: Our goal is to see all of our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible. We have coffee and a television in our reception area and our front desk staff team is especially talented when it comes to making your pet feel extra special and wonderful!
We are excited to meet you and your human and animal family members!
